Foo Chie Haur is currently principal flutist with National Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician as well as soloist, he has appeared in several musical events such as Steinway Historical Roadshow in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, Johor Bahru Arts Festival and Malaysian Youth Orchestra Foundation Music Festival. Besides, he has also performed in international festivals in Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, as well as a chamber recital in Melbourne, Australia. His professional orchestral experience also include Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and Macau Orchestra. Chie Haur was selected to study in U.K. with Trevor Wye, who is the author of “Flute Practice Books” which received worldwide acclaimed. He also studied with Sofia Cosme, Yukako Yamamoto and Hristo Dobrinov. He was also an orchestral member of Canton International Summer Music Academy Guangzhou, China in 2005, and the Asian Youth Orchestra in 2007 and 2008.
